Abbott’s of Boston, Inc, was formed in the 1930s as an employment agency and in the mid- 1950s branched into Executive Search and Professional Placement doing business as George D. Sandel and Associates. The owners became Arthur Joyce, George Sandel and Ivan Samuels with up to 20 employees in two locations. Later, due to the 80’s recession, dwindling business and unmatched competition, the company morphed into doing business as Abbott Interiors, founded by Eleanor Samuels, who was head Interior Designer for Laura Ashley in the mid 1980’s prior to forming her own successful company. 

During the 2009 downturn, Dave Samuels left his position as a National Practice Director for ACS Systech’s Business Intelligence group to form BW Doctor, our technical consulting division and integrated corporate IT for both Abbott Interiors and Abbott’s of Boston, Inc.

Abbott Interiors and BW Doctor operate as independent divisions of the Samuels family corporation.
